Replacement Nozzle Matching

Replace an installed, worn, or difficult-to-identify nozzle using evidence about identity, fit, operating conditions, spray duty, material, and documentation—not appearance alone.

Matching workflow

Build a Verifiable Comparison

The goal is to identify candidates and close information gaps before a purchase decision.

1. Record identity

Capture manufacturer, full part number, etched or stamped markings, packaging labels, purchase records, and any existing datasheet.

2. Confirm fit and materials

Measure connection type and size, thread standard, overall dimensions, orientation, seals, clearances, and known material.

3. Compare the duty

Define flow at pressure, media, temperature, spray pattern, angle, distance, coverage, impact or droplet objective, and quantity.

Useful evidence

What to Photograph and Measure

After the initial form, Ventura will reply with instructions for sending files. Do not remove equipment or open pressurized systems unless authorized and safe.

  • Markings photographed square-on and in focus
  • Inlet, outlet, side profile, and assembled installation
  • Connection outside/inside diameter and pitch or thread identification
  • Overall length and wrench-flat dimensions
  • Current datasheet, drawing, label, or purchase record
  • Observed pattern, coverage, flow, pressure, and reason for replacement
  • Fluid, temperature, solids, chemicals, and cleaning exposure
  • Required material certificates or customer specifications

How candidates are compared

A responsible review considers identity, physical interface, hydraulic operating point, spray behaviour, free passage, materials, environmental limits, maintenance needs, quantity, and required documentation.

Limits of cross-referencing

A candidate may differ even when basic dimensions appear similar. Final suitability cannot be established from a competitor number, photograph, or nominal thread alone; unknowns must be resolved by the responsible parties.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the manufacturer or part number is unknown?

Provide every visible marking, clear photos from several angles, connection dimensions, overall dimensions, spray pattern observations, and operating information. An exact match may not be possible without enough verified detail.

Does a matching thread mean two nozzles are equivalent?

No. Fit is only one part of the comparison. Flow at pressure, spray angle and distribution, free passage, material, temperature, connection details, and process requirements also matter.

Can Ventura guarantee a cross-reference from a photo?

No. Photos can support identification, but critical dimensions, material, operating point, performance, and documentation requirements must be confirmed before selection.
